Staats BMX Bike Frames

Staats BMX Racing Frames and Complete Bikes

Back in 1995 Staats Racing was born with the intent to create a lighter and strong more agile race specific frame. Make no mistake about it, these frames are designed for one thing which is winning BMX races. Offered in aluminum and exotic steel with some frames sporting double butted and triple butted tubing. Will be posting up some of my builds and bare frames as well.

Staats Jr Cruiser Aluminum Frame only without a fork

Picked up this Staats Aluminum Cruiser frame not too long ago. It’s in very good condition.
It’s probably a late 1990’s or early 2000’s Mid School BMX frame.
I’m almost positive that this frame has been custom powder coated.
Might be stock finish but highly doubt it.

-Top tube measures aprox 20″ from center of head tube to center of seat tube
-Seat tube measures aprox 25.4mm or so, so a 25.4 seat post should fit
-Most likely takes 24 x 1.5 rims/tires, 1.75 maybe
-3/8″ Dropouts have normal wear, finish missing
-Headtube is standard 1″ and will accept most 30.2mm headsets

-Takes a standard 68mm English Thread Euro Bottom Bracket

I posted a picture of a 24 x 1 3/8 wheel slammed forward in the dropout and the brakes do not reach.
So unless the wheel is way far back in the dropout the 1 3/8 wheel is not going to work without cantilever adapters. So I’m not sure what wheel works, but would guess 24 x 1.5 rim and tire.

2007 Staats Pro XL Race Bike, aluminum frame 21″ top tube-

Did this custom build back in 2014 with parts I had laying around the garage. Diamondback fork and GT Race handlebar was custom painted white. Profile 175mm Crankarms with “canodized” Red Profile spider. I say that because it’s anodized color in a spray can. The pedals are sealed bearing Wellgo platform with Rocket alloy chainring 110/130 Bolt Circle Diameter ( BCD ). The stem is DK Bikes and brakes are Tektro. Post is a vintage 90’s Control Tech Seatpost and newer style Odyssey Senior saddle. Wheels are made up of Formula BMX Hubs which were custom polished with black stainless steel DT spokes laced up to Sun Ringle Envy doublewall aluminum rims. This was a super fun build that I think came out awesome for using stuff I have laying around. I have to say that I’m not too impressed by the euro Bottom Bracket shell. Makes for a very small bearing that isn’t very durable. Then again this is a race bike so for this bike euro is fine. I’m an old school BMX type a guy so I’m partial to an American BB.

Available in Orange, Blue, Red, Green, Purple, Smoked and Yellow

Staats Pro Cruiser Frame with 21.5″ Top Tube-

This True Temper OX Platinum tubeset is super nice and keeps the weight down. Laser cut dropouts and made in the USA just add to the radness factor of this frame. These frames are designed to hug the track with a steep headtube angle. Ever hear the expression “Steel is Real”? Well, that exactly describes the feeling this frame gives the rider.
